Looking up is something I’ve always taught photographers to do. But there are times when we least think to look up.
I was recently on a carriage tour through Charleston, South Carolina’s commercial sections. I was with family, doing the typical tourist things.
The tour guide was talking (with a cool accent) about “the four corners of law” and I happen to look up at the perfect time.
The man you see in this photo was cleaning the windows of one of the buildings. When I looked up was exactly one second before he kicked off the wall of the building and suspended in the air before touching the wall again.
So always look up. Even when you don’t think you need to.
