Charleston, South Carolina is partially known for their amazing fountains. For example, the big pineapple fountain is probably the most widely known. There are many wading fountains along the water, and various ones around town.
Many of the fountains are older, barely updated, and in fantastic condition.
This fountain is one of them.
The fountain in the photo is unlike most of the others around Charleston. This one is made for drinking, and only drinking. It’s not for wading, and it’s not a tourist attraction.
This fountain sits on the side of a historic building in Charleston. Tucked away near two park benches.
While resting from a long walk with my wife and baby, I happened to spot the fountain and felt the urge to photograph it. Becuase it’s likely one of the least photographed fountains in the entire town.
