No Matter How Many Times

charleston-bridge

A few years back I visited Charleston, SC and fell in love with this bridge. I photographed it, but the weather wasn’t great that day. The sky was boring. The tide was low.

So the photos were blah. I only like one of the bridge photos.

I recently went back to Charleston for my sister-in-law’s wedding and wanted to photograph the bridge during sunset.

Turned out the beautiful sunset (it was beautiful) happened to glow beautifully to the left and right of the bridge. But NOT behind it.

No Matter How Many Times

So the best I could do with the actual bridge and the sky above it, was to capture the dynamic color differences in the blue, and the golden light on the bridge.

Remember, no matter how many times you visit a location to photograph, there’s always a reason to go back and do it again.

  1. There’s a rather similar and impressive bridge – the Rio-Antirrio – here in Greece. See: https://goo.gl/XEwukk

    1. It definitely looks similar. Thanks for sharing.
