How to use a mirrorless camera as a webcam

I wrote about this previously when answering a question about live streaming a sports game.

But I figured it is worth dedicating a piece specifically to the mirrorless camera question.

One of the best parts of owning a mirrorless camera, aside from the smaller footprint and weight, is that they make for fantastic webcams.

There are two ways to use a mirrorless cameras as a webcam.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world, and more people were working home than ever before, companies like Sony, Nikon and Canon jumped into building their webcam solutions.

Once the software is installed all you need is to connect your camera to your computer via USB-3 or USB-C, depending on what the camera and computer offer.
