Photojournalism is the idea that a photographer is documenting a story instead of posing and creating a story. It’s the methodology of standing back, out of the way, and capturing the natural moments in history.
When talking about family photography, photojournalism is often referred to as a Day in the Life Session. However, I call it a Cozy Family Session.
A typical Day in the Life Session is a full day, of maybe 6-8 hours. Although I have no problem offering that to families (and I do), I have found majority prefer a few hours over a full day. Because infants and toddlers need their naps, and many times parents have other things they need to do. Trust me, I get it.
That’s why I created my Cozy Family Session. It’s documentary style, which means no posing. I just hang out with your family for a few hours and document what goes on in your daily lives.
The package includes 1 hours of me hanging out with you, in the comfort of your own home, or somewhere else if you prefer. I include 10 professionally retouched photos, Facebook-ready images for sharing with friends and family and $25 print credit. I also provide a video slideshow of the day, which includes other photos beyond the 10 you favorite.
Sounds intriguing, right? Get in touch with me today to book your session.
