VHS Camcorder for iOS – New B-Roll Fun!

There’s a fun app that is for the iPhone that I just got and I’m actually really excited about testing it out. This app is called VHS Cam. It replicates in old VHS camera. So here it is just recording and the APP gives you the option to degrade the audio quality as well as the video quality.

There’s a fun app that is for the iPhone that I just got and I’m actually really excited about testing it out. This APP is called VHS Cam and you know, it’s kind of like Hipstamatic or whatever for photos, but it’s for video and it actually is degraded the quality of the video but still leaving it at 10. 80 p doesn’t go to four k even on the iPhone X, but basically it replicates in old VHS camera. So here it is just recording and the, the APP gives you the option to degrade the audio quality as well as the video quality. But what’s really cool is you see all the lines that are showing up, all that sort of, you know, noise and stuff from the tape, quote unquote. If I shake the phone, the noise gets worse just like an old camera would have done back in the day.

And if you zoom it zooms just like an old video camera, whatever zoomed same sort of thing. And you can even switch to selfie mode, which obviously that didn’t exist. You can turn on the light if you want to run the light, you can do a title vhs camcorder by Rarevision. You can change that title and of course you can start and stop recording. You can even pause and unpause and, uh, there’s a menu. I’m going to get stopped. You can also take stills with this and to take stills, all you’re doing is holding down the record button instead of just pushing the record button because it’s not really me to be a still camera, but it can do it because it’s a digital phone. It’s an APP. So I’m thinking of incorporating this thing in a sort of b roll into my videos from now on. And you know, I’m, I’m not one for the whole Lomo effect with photos, especially with clear photos that are, you know, to turn it into a photo from the Nikon D850 to be a Lomo would just be kind of silly, wouldn’t be, you know, whatever. And that’s where I kind of think this comes into play because I want to. My videos while I’m serious that I’m teaching and I’m sharing and whatever. It’s still silly. I still, I’m a silly guy, so I’m thinking of incorporating silly videos footage into this, so we’ll see.
