Use Google To Find Your Photo In Use

Google Images

Google Images With Google’s new Search by Image feature, you can find your photo in use on the Internet.  You can also use the tool to find inspiration for new work.  Below is a 5 minute video walking you through Search by Image from Google. I also show you TinEye, a tool very similar (but created years ago).  Last, but definitely not least, Search by Image and TinEye are very useful for finding who you need to send a DMCA letter to!

Now you can explore the web in an entirely new way by beginning your Google search with an image. Learn more about images on the web and your own photos.

Below is the introduction video from Google. Also worth viewing!

My friend Seshu wrote about the new Search by Image tool from Google after they first announced it. In his article, Photographers, Does Google Have Your Back?, Seshu asks “…will Google’s new ‘Image Search’ option give photographers some peace of mind that their images aren’t being used or misused…”

What do you think?

Thanks for reading and happy browsing,

  1. I’ve tried this and it works really nicely. I also like the similar images feature, which sometimes turns up some interesting items.
