  1. Agree. A little shoe leather saves the hassle of lugging a heavy zoom. However, I need typically three primes to handle landscapes! So except for sharpness and a wider aperture, the weights appear to balance out!

    1. The weight of 3 primes is still much less than a zoom, depending on what primes and what zoom you’re comparing. For example, if you’re talking f1.4 primes then it will likely equal the weight of an f/4 zoom. But if you went with f/1.8 primes then you’re still way under in weight.
