Peter McKinnon is a photographer and filmmaker from Canada. He’s quite popular on YouTube if you didn’t already know.
Peter published a video on YouTube teaching how to do the Quick-Cut Technique like Edgar Wright.
Edgar Wright is an English director, screenwriter, producer, and actor known for Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Ant-Man, and many other great films.
Edgar Wright uses the Quick-Cut Technique often and does it, pushing the limits, to make his work stand out.
So Peter McKinnon challenged the film and photography world to try it for yourself.
Peter wants to see what you can do with it and to share your video on YouTube using the hashtag, #PMEDGARWRIGHTCHALLENGE.
While I make videos weekly on YouTube, I am not the best filmmaker. I am better at still work than motion work. With that said, I was inspired to try my hand at it in a short, but fun reaction to the challenge.
Here is mine.
I cannot wait to see yours, so please comment with a link to your YouTube video so I can see what you’ve done.
