Hey, this is Scott Wyden Kivowitz a storyteller with the camera talking about all the things photographers like you and I are thinking about. I’m back and in this video I’m going to share a little bit about what’s going on. So I took the month off in August and it was just a matter of just, you know, clearing the mind and in getting out of this content creation mode because I had been doing it for so long and that kind of needed to break. But I’m back and today I am going to share, you know, what’s out and what’s in and what’s going on. So first things first, I just want to say that I am posting this the first week of September in a couple weeks. I’m speaking at wordcamp New York City on podcasting. And uh, I know I’m not giving you much notice, but I hope you can join me if you’re in New York City area and interested in podcasting and wordpress and that kind of stuff.
And if you are going to work in New York City, please say hello. I will be there. So for years, since 2003 or something like that, I’ve been using this keyboard with my computer and it’s a solar keyboard from logitech. I wish they made this one still, but they don’t, they only make one that’s a lot bigger and I don’t really want that. So, um, this keyboard is shot. It’s seen better days. The, the keys are starting to move on their own and stuff like that. So I checked out logic because I love their products and I picked up this new keyboard which you just saw earlier in the video and it’s just a small compact. I’m silent. It’s very, very quiet keyboard that also like this one will work with my ipad or my iphone or things like that, the apple TV and whatnot. So I’m excited about this change and it’s going to take a little bit of getting used to because the keys are slightly more compact than the other keyboard.
It does take Aa batteries, so every two years or so on need to replace the batteries. But the solar one, it just always worked because it worked on solar light. Even with just, you know, room lights, it worked very well. So I am back to publishing two days a week, Mondays and Thursdays whenever possible. If you like these videos, if you like what’s going on? Switching to Sony, not switching to Sony. I don’t know what’s going to happen. Um, but they announced their full frame mirrorless and I’m on the fence about it. Photo plus expo is coming up at the end of October. I will be there, I will probably be there with my camera recording some video footage. If you’re going to photo plus expo, please look for me. water. I no longer have buff lights. Pull the policy buff lights. I had the alien bees for years. I have officially switched to the [inaudible] 8,600 pros. I now have to have those. I have the snow mountain system. Really Nice led. That’s actually right here off here in a big soft box that’s illuminating me and I’m just a big fan of not having wires all the time for these big lights. I can take them anywhere. They have high speed sync. The high speed sync is for each brand. All I have to do is replace this with whatever version I’d be going to. So if I’m going to. Sony had replaced the Nikon version with the Sony version. They looked the same. The pins are different and the firmware inside would be Nikon based versus Sony base versus whatever. So that’s pretty cool. I have some learning to do it because you know, these can control. This is dylan.
I should probably save batteries. I have some learning to do because this can control a bunch of lights all at once and I only know right now how to control the lights on the same channel and having this I got to, I got some figuring out to do.
