Fort Sumter

I’ve written about Fort Sumter in the past so I’m not going to get into its history again.

However, I decided to process this photograph different than others.  For this one, I went with an older sepia toned processing to bring out its historical greatness.

In addition, the monotone processing also enables me to push the limits of the exposure to bring out more textures than would normally cause distortion in a color photograph.

This is the view that soldiers had when keeping an eye out of the enemy.
