Frequently Asked Questions

What is an AI Profile?

An AI Profile is a personalized editing configuration designed for use with Imagen’s post-production software. It learns your unique editing approach and then automatically applies that style to your photos and in turn saves you significant time on manual corrections.

How does it work?

After signing up for an Imagen account, your purchased AI Profile is automatically added to your profile. Once it’s been activated, you can begin applying it to your photos right away. In fact, my profile will act as Personal AI Profile on your account, whcih typically needs 3,000 photos or more to build. But you’re starting with mine, trained on over 10,000 photos. But because it’s a Personal AI Profile it will learn from your final edits and get better and better based on your taste.

Is it compatible with Lightroom?

Yes, the AI Profile works with the latest Lightroom Classic, Lightroom Desktop (in the local tab), Photoshop and Bridge using the Camera RAW module.

However, Imagen works alongside Lightroom Classic, so you can apply your AI Profile edits and then adjust them within Lightroom Classic as needed. If you’re searching specifically as a Lightroom Classic presets, those are available separately.

Can I make adjustments to the AI Profile?

Absolutely, Imagen allows you to refine any edits made by your AI Profile, giving you full control over the final look. You can use Imagen’s Profile Adjustemnts feature for instant, real-time changes to the profile. Or you can make final edits and upload them back to Imagen to fine-tune your profile.

Does this come with a preset?

No, the AI Profile is so much better than a preset. You see, presets are static data points that will apply the same on every photo no matter what. A Personal AI Profile, like this one, uses AI to dynamically apply on each photo individually to achieve the desired look.

What Lightroom Classic version is required?

To use Imagen you will need the latest Lightroom Classic versions officially supported by Adobe.

Is the AI Profile the same as a Creative Color Profile?

It’s a common misunderstanding, but no, they are not the same. The AI Profile is designed specifically for Imagen to replicate your editing habits automatically. In this case, my editing habits for Black & White. But it will also learn from over time. A Creative Color Profile, on the other hand, is a component of a Lightroom preset that shapes the visual tone within Lightroom. Some AI Profiles are made using Creative Color Profiles as well, but not mine.

Are the edits final?

No, they will appear non-destructively just as if you made the eidts yourself. This means you can make final edits yourself. Just be sure to upload those final edits back to Imagen so my profile learns from you.
