When clients flakes out on you

Nothing annoys me more than when you schedule a day to shoot and the client flakes out.  I used to think that it was worst when you are doing the photos as a favor and not charging anything.  It’s just a wasted day, or afternoon, whatever.

Now that I started my 5511 Project I have been scheduling shoots where I am literally only making $5.  I have come to find that it is actually worse when a client flakes on you when they scheduled a 5511 shoot.

What kind of deposit do you take on a $5 photo shoot?

What kind of deposit do you take on a free photo shoot?

What to do when someone flakes?  I wait until they want to reschedule, then tell them why I don’t want to photograph them.
