Self-Portrait Friday

I decided to try something simple and fun for people “on the go”. Using a cell phone, iPad or any mobile device with a camera, take a self-portrait every Friday and tweet it out for the world to see. Use the hashtag #selfportraitfriday and view fun and creative mobile self portraits from around the world.

This could be fun, no?

So how did I come up with the idea? I picked an iPad 2 up for myself and started playing with Instagram, which is my favorite camera application by far. I started with a Self Portrait Sunday, using Trey Ratcliff’s 100 Cameras in 1 for iPad application. I then decided to switch and make it Fridays instead. Why? Not sure, but it works.

Will the #selfportraitfriday become a big trend? Not sure, but I’m going to try to keep doing it and you should too. You don’t have to post the image on your blog, you could upload it anywhere and share the photo on Twitter using the hashtag. I will be posting them on my Phone Blog with the hashtag as the title

Side note: As it turns out, I’m not the first to come up with the idea. But at the same time, I don’t see people doing it. So lets bring it back.

Thanks for reading and happy shooting,

Sure I could get into this. I am currently doing a 365 project so this can cover Fridays for me : D Oh and this is a cool shot. Let #selfportraitfriday begin…again…or come back. Whatever, I’m down.
