Pan For Scale

The river that the Milltown Mill resides on is actually quite long.

You wouldn’t think it by my first photograph of it, but that’s where this tip from in to play.

After you’ve taken your photograph of choice, pan a little and capture a couple more frames.  If you remember a long time ago, I gave a tip to turn around for more frames.  This time, I am saying pan away.

Not only will panning provide a great sense of scale, but also good documentary for going along with your favorite images.
