Not For Dinner

not-for-dinner

Today’s photo is not what I ate for dinner. In fact, for anyone that knows me well – I am not a seafood fan.

However, while in Newport, Rhode Island with friends I tried new things. I’m not afraid to try new dishes, but when I know I don’t like something I stick to my guns.

This photo was taken with the Leica M9 and Zeiss 25mm lens inside of one of the Newport seafood restaurants.

It was dark, so I had to crank the ISO up pretty high.

Overall I am pleased with the result because the shadows and light work very well together. The wide-angle added just right amount of curve to the bar. Just goes to show you that no matter where you go in Newport, Rhode Island there is always something to photograph.

Thanks for reading and happy shooting,

Scott

  1. Impressive! Did you hold the camera, or have it on a tripod? Holding it on a high iso is always hard for me =)

    1. I was holding it for this shot, Drew.
