Nikon has announced two new products, the D5300 which is video feature rich and the 58mm f/1.4G lens. Both are available for pre-order at Amazon.
The D5300 is a DX SLR which means it’s s cropped sensor, 24.2 Megapixels, 5 FPS, 100-12800 ISO, 1080p at 30/25/24p HD video and more. The camera also has a built in GPS and Wifi which means no GPS accessory needed and you can use your iPhone or Android phone to trigger the camera.
I’m honestly not sure why they released a 58mm lens when they already have a 50mm lens available, but the new lens is has a minimum aperture of f/16 and a filter size of 72mm which means this is a fairly large prime lens.
