In The Distance

in-the-distance

Last week I published the From My Eye of my camera while setting up for this photograph.

My goal was to create this dreamy landscape where the huge house pops off the background.

The sky was about to open up and downpour as I was taking the shot, so I had to move quickly.  I bracketed the scene, but still only used one frame for the final product.  One of my favorite things about Lightroom 4 is the better development sliders.  It the ability to recover skies so much better than previous versions.

The photograph was shot with the Leica M9 and Zeiss 25mm lens.

For processing, I used Lightroom to get the exposure and cropping to my liking.  I then opened the onOne Software Perfect Photo Suite and used Perfect Effects and Focal Point to create the look I visioned.

Thanks for reading and happy shooting,

Scott
