Today I went on a photography adventure with my friend Joe and my Uncle Mitchell. We didn’t know where to go at first so we tried a possible Urbex location in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Turned out that there was security and no trespassing signs so we decided to go somewhere else. The backup location was this random park which I found on Yelp. It had a review saying how nice it was and that it was like a rainforest. [yes in New Jersey]
We put in the cross streets because there was no address, and eventually (after some long searching) found this so called park. It was more of a rock trail newly converted from an old railway line. Pretty cool, but most likely better when the trees are full. There was a lot of interesting things to photograph, including some gross green sludge [again… New Jersey] and fun graffiti.
HDR Photography Tip: You don’t always have to make every part of the photograph perfectly exposed. Sometimes that will ruin the photograph. It is ok for parts to be blown out. Really, it will be ok.
Thanks for reading and happy shooting,
Scott
