Today’s photo is from the hockey game that I photographed a few weeks ago. Goalie number one was patiently waiting for the action to come down ice.
In ice hockey, the goaltender, also known colloquially as the goalie, is the player who defends his/her team’s goal net by stopping shots of the puck from entering his/her team’s net, thus preventing the opposing team from scoring.
Finding the right angle to photograph a goalie is not as simple a task as you might think. The glass you have to shoot through is usually dirty and think enough to reduce light.
Camera: Nikon D700
Lens: Nikon 70-200
Processing: Lightroom using VSCO Film
Thanks for reading and happy shooting,
Scott
