The Fireworks & Me

The story isn’t over yet…

First you should read The Fireworks That Weren’t, and then The Fireworks That Were.

Then come back here and check out the finale.

After reviewing some of the photographs I captured with the wide view, I decided to step into the frame.

Since I was using a cable release anyway, I knew I could easily set the timer, give myself a little walking room and make it into the shot. Being that my wife was with me, I showed her what to push and so she pulled the trigger in the end.

The only thing I wish I had with me was one small light to add some fill light. Otherwise, I think it’s a fun portrait. There is a lot going on here.

Thanks for reading and happy shooting,

Scott

PS. It’s no coincidence that I first published this on Self Portrait Friday.
