A Dude Alone

photography exhibit

I am not sure what it is about New York City, but the last two times I was there I had multiple opportunities to capture loneliness.

The first was a bicycle, shown in the photograph A Bike Alone.

Today, is a guy sitting in front of a building.  This also happens to be shot in the village.

Like the bike shot, I think the Black & White version of this brings out the emotion of being lonely, the texture of the buildings and just the overall dramatic feel.

On a side note, have you ever seen a New York City street so empty?

Thanks for reading and happy shooting,

Scott
