Yesterday Thomas Hawk made a blog post about a Flickr user who was kicked off without warning. I initially started to cut down on my Flickr usage when a company took one of my photos and used it in their monthly newsletter, posted it online and thought i’d never find out. When that happened I removed thousands of photos from Flickr and left only ones I didn’t mind sharing there like Photowalks, etc.. Keep in mind that I am currently paid up until 2010 with Flickr for a PRO account and now I won’t be taking advantage of it at all. Thomas Hawk and Kristopher Tate started Zooomr and I never really took a look until Thomas’s post yesterday. I decided to give it a try and opened my account. I only uploaded the photos I have on JPGMag.com currently but will upload some fresh photos next week most likely. Zooomr is missing some things like a Widget/Badge like Flickr has, but I’m sure it will come as the API is growing and Zooomr is getting more popular. Thanks for reading Scott Links

Flickr has a newsletter?? What photo did they use of yours? I never heard about this happening.
Flickr didn’t use my photo in a newsletter, a different company did.
