Altered Beaster?
They always seem to love those wax multi colored sticks.

My first thought was the EP “Beaster” by Sugar: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beaster
Disappointing EP. I much prefer the follow-up “File Under Easy Listening,” and most people think the debut “Copper Blue” was their high point.
