Colorful morning 313/365

Nikon D700, 24mm, ISO 100, f/16, 1/20

I have the week off in between leaving my job at Mack and starting at the new company. I woke up this morning and looked outside to see a bright, sunny and colorful day. The sun is so bright in fact that I shot this to make it look dark and colorless. Fun stuff!

pre nor’easter sky 287/365

Nikon D700, ISO 100, f/6.3, 24mm, 1/320

The weather people are calling for the nor’easter to hit New Jersey starting this afternoon and into the night. Before it rains, the sky always looks so stunning.

Something deep 280/365

Canon EOS Mark II, 1/640, f/22, 50mm, ISO 100

There is something about dramatic clouds that are inspirational.  I can’t get enough of a beautiful sky

The Storm That Never Came

Nikon D700, 14mm, f/13, ISO 100, 5 Exposures, Promote Control

I wasn’t prepared for a rainy day.  I got to this location and the sky opened up.  I rushed myself so my gear wouldn’t get wet and it turned out to not even rain a drop.

Don’t look now 262/365

Nikon D700, 24mm, f/2, 1/1600, ISO 100

I sat on the couch, looked up and caught this little guy staring at me. As long as he stays on the outside of the window that is that I care about.

Stay inside 260/365

Nikon D700, 25mm, f/16, 1/50, ISO 100

They say a tornado might have hit Brooklyn, New York last night. I was home in New Jersey but the rain and wind was unbelievable. I stayed inside. Even though I shot the photo this morning, it gives you a sense of not wanting to go outdoors.

Where to go from here? 256/365

I am now adding photo titles to the Project 365 posts.  Why?  It is better for SEO purposes but I figure it is just more fun that way.  When I do not have a title I will post it as “Untitled” in hopes that readers will give their title suggestion.

Canon PowerShot S90, f/8 @ 22.5 mm, 1/500, ISO 80

Hurricane Earl is said to hit the New Jersey shores later today. The sky looks like it is going to reach past the shore but one never knows. Mother nature is a funny creature. I love how the sky looks but I’m not looking forward to possible flooding

Quick HDR using the Tamron 60mm f/2 Macro lens…. at a distance.  Handheld at that.  Why did I make things difficult?  Good question!
