Boy Scout Memorial
So here is the story…
There was a boy scout Casey Akira Murphy who tragically passed away November 11, 2009. Casey is buried at Arlington National Cemetery, Alexandria, VA. One of Casey’s fellow boy scout’s decided to create a memorial for Casey at the Watchung Stables. When you first dive into the facilities there is an island of bushes, trees and a flagpole. It was all overgrown which is not very appealing. The boy scout decided to redo the entire island landscaping. I was asked to photograph the memorial and newly landscaped island. This rock and plaque sits a few feet away from the flagpole.
It was an honor to photograph the memorial.
