Paint The White House

paint-the-white-house

Thanks to George Clinton, whenever I hear or see The White House, I think of painting it black.

Thanks P-Funk!

Photographing The White House is no longer a simple task.  When you approach the fence, you’re surrounded by tourists, police and you’re now a target by the snipers hiding on the roof.

In order to get a good shot, I had to wait until people walked away from the fence, carefully put my lens in between posts and frame my shot with the little room I had to play with.

All in all, I am happy to have a photograph of The White House.  My goal is to one day photograph the building and property from inside the fence.   Maybe a president will invite me.  I can only hope.

Thanks for reading and happy shooting,

Scott

The day I get elected, I’ll invite you to photograph from the inside.

Good luck, Scott. But seriously, you did get a nice shot.

You just used the words “shoot” and “White House” and “president” several times in the same blog post. If the NSA or Secret Service weren’t monitoring your blog before, they sure are now! :)

All kidding aside, that’s a great photo. It gives the impression that you were inside the fence away from the rabble when you took it..

Thank you Alex. If the government is checking out my site, they likely looked at my “Adobe Photoshop CS5 Impacts Washington DC” article as well :-)
