Adobe Photoshop CS5 Impacts Washington DC

Catchy title right? Here is why I titled this post “Adobe Photoshop CS5 Impacts Washington DC”. In the photo you see above I was standing in the Lincoln Memorial taking a picture of the Washington Monument and the, then, empty Deflecting Reflection Pool.

I decided to share the photo not only because it is interesting but while playing with Photoshop’s new Content Aware Fill features I discovered how smoothly it liked to remove the Washington Monument.  Watch the video below and enjoy.  It’s interesting, kinda silly but worth a view.

Please note I have nothing against the monument at all.  In fact it is one of my favorites.  I just found it funny that it removed it so easily compared to some of my other tests of the new feature.

The final image without the monument there is directly below. Notice the Washington Monument reflection. How funny is that!

Thanks for reading and happy shooting,
Scott

This was a hilarious comment stream. I for one like the photo, it’s almost a metaphor for where Washington dC could be headed given the current political climate.

    Props!
